We are currently looking to expand our Group IT Operations team with the addition of a Senior Business Analyst.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
As a member of the Group IT Application Development and Maintenance organization, you will report to the Group Head of IT Application Development and Maintenance and will work closely with the architecture and development teams.

You will undertake project work and be assigned to a designated Project Leader or Director and to whow you will report for all project activities. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible to establish a transparent, motivated and inspiring interface between the Business- and IT teams. Using your verbal and written communication skills, you are expected to collect, document and analyse the by Business required and desired IT support/functions and challenge where deemed necessary the Business requirements. Based on analysed requirements you are expected to set-up and maintain a (business) Conceptual Data Model and deliver a solution design that contributes to the overall business strategic vision and at the same time fits the application architecture of Intertrust Group and that is from a resourcing point of view an efficient as well as effective solution you can defend.

You will work alongside other members of the Group IT team to identify and progress any cross-project benefits and challenges, You are expected to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues and built up and share expertise and best practices across Intertrust Group IT as well as Business staff.

You will define, shape and prioritise business requirements and link these to Business and IT strategy set, in order to ensure fit between requested functionality and available delivery capability. Requirements, solutions and actions to be taken will need to be recorded and maintained in project, systems and procedural documentation, use cases, and process diagrams. Knowledge of design approaches, methodologies and tools is prerequisite for this function.. (For example, Structured Systems Analysis and Design Method (SSADM), Rapid Application Development (RAD), Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN), Unified Modelling Language (UML), Business Process Reengineering (BPR), work flow improvement approaches such as Lean and Six-Sigma).

Understanding of front, middle and back office processes and functions within a trust services company is pre-requisite , as well as a basic understanding of people change management, International cultural awareness (work with multi cultural teams in several geographies) as well as the need and impact for Globalization- and centralization of processes.

In addition to a sound knowledge of general as well as ITG specific (Trust) application knowledge, you should also be familiar with basic principles of network- and infrastructure set-up. 
As a member of a project team you will be assigned besides to the analysis work to task that involve functional and user acceptance testing, training of Functional- and IT support- and end-user staff, preparation of user-, system and process documentation and as part of (production) support fulfill role as second or third line support staff.

Knowledge of formal project and service management methodologies such as PRINCE 2, PMI or ITIL is required 

You will assist in the decision making process and help prepare plans for future demand on infrastructure and related applications in terms of business impact, and actively participate in change and problem management. Your active contribution to improve cooperation model between IT and Business is of great importance for the successful completion of assignments.

As a member of the Group IT team, you will be besides with the members of the Group IT team work with local country support teams and management as well as with consultants from vendors and consultancy firms. You are expected to exhibit cultural understanding and good communication skills while maintaining global standards and requirements.

Activities will include:

  • Produce high level Business- and IT impact assessments, designs and estimates on both systems and processes
  • Collect, review, analyze, evaluate, challenge and prioritize business and system requirements, translating them into new or amended business process descriptions, application design documentation, use cases and process flows as appropriate
  • Ensure continuing alignment with customer needs through all stages of the shaping and development lifecycles
  •  Where required, create, discuss with Business- and IT staff, review and sign off testing strategies, plans, criteria, cases and results
  • Actively participate in and coordinate Functional and user acceptance testing
  • Establish and effectively manage project as well as individual scope of activities and assignment utilizing change control processes
  • Address issues and mitigate risks, communicate status to business, IT Management and other IT teams that are impacted by the project
  • Ensure effective communications, building and managing relationships with stakeholders
  • Support the production of business- and IT strategy and architecture
  • Support, advise and instruct IT vendor and Business consultants during development activities
  • Provide status updates on periodic and ad-hoc basis to project lead and Manager
  • Adhering to corporate, international, and regulatory standards and policies regarding development tools, methodologies, security, etc.

Your Profile

  • A Degree or HBO educated ideally in Business or IT management, MSc preferred
  • Analytical approach to troubleshooting
  • Knowledgeable process design, mapping and improvement
  • Knowledge of testing approach and execution
  • Knowledge of project management approaches, a project management qualification such as Prince 2 or PMI is a plusKnowledge of system development methodologies such as SSADM, RAD, BPMN, UML, BPR etc.
  • A team player is essential, as well as good communication and people skills
  •  Fluent in Dutch and English
  •  Pragmatic and practical, with a flexible attitude
  • Delivery focused and a willingness to travel
  • Trust Services and/or Financial Services background is a plus
