Intertrust obtains license from AFM to continue its AIFMD Depositary Services in Netherlands
21 March 2018
Intertrust received the AIFMD Depositary License from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) in relation to its services in the Netherlands as per 16 March 2018.
Intertrust was already appointed AIFMD depositary in The Netherlands back in 2014 for several funds, and was licensed to act as a depositary in Luxembourg in that same year. Due to legislative changes, an AIFMD Depositary in The Netherlands has the opportunity to obtain a license from the AFM in respect of its performance of depositary services, following a thorough qualification process which Intertrust has successfully completed. We consider obtaining this license as a testament to the quality our work we’ve been doing as depositary over the past years, operating with the highest level of integrity and leading operational standards.
Intertrust continues to be strongly positioned as the go-to fund services provider with expertise in private equity, real estate, private debt, venture capital, hedge and infrastructure. Depositary teams in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden and Norway continuously work together to provide an integrated fund services offering.
